“Sacred Geometry” was inspired by mechanized Arti temple drums and bells which are used in Hindu devotional rituals. The rhythmic beats awaken the divine and signal the start of a sacred ritual. A switch on the front activates a mechanism causing mallets to strike a bell. The lines connecting the mallets create a geometric form which evokes the “interdependent web of life” as celebrated by the Unitarian Universalist tradition. The web emphasizes the deep connections between all entities in our ecosystem. We must be aware that how our actions affect others and that all play a role in keeping the balance.
