This animation is a celebration of the Geneva wheel, one of my favorite mechanisms. The Geneva wheel creates intermittent motion from a continuous motion and it’s used in many of my kinetic sculptures.. The background is a test sketch of Mayor Young from “Not In My City…” The movements compliment each other.
